Johanna Augusta Mohr was born near Schleswig, Iowa the daughter of Henry and Augusta Miller.

Johanna Augusta (Miller) Mohr (1883 - 1978) Serving as pallbearers for the services were Reynold Goerner, Robert Schreiber, Erwin Riessen, Scott Hansen, DeWayne Sonksen and Gailen Meseck. Hymns for the services included "Asleep in Jesus" and "Be Still My Soul". Marlene Hight as organist provided music for the services. The Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Choir with Mrs. Richard Nelson officiated at the services and graveside rites. Interment was in the Morgan Cemetery near Schleswig. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig. She is further survived by one sister, Martha Seils of Denison, her half-sister, Marie Dunlop of Sioux City, her step-brother Carl Schreiber of Ricketts and her half-brother Herman Schreiber of San Diego, California, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.įuneral services were held on Wednesday, June 4, 1986, at 10:30 a.m. Survivors include one son, Loren and wife Lorraine of Charter Oak, three grandchildren, Douglas Seils, Renee Neddermeyer and Merry Petersen and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Ida was preceded in death by her brother Fred, two sisters, Gertrude Bahnsen and Alma Martin, two step-sisters, Martha Rickert and Clara Listamann and her half-brother Adolf Schreiber. Ida was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig and the Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid. Following his death, Ida continued to make her home in Schleswig. Following retirement from farming in 1951, they made their home in Schleswig. They made their home together on a farm north of Ricketts. On August 22, 1921, she was united in marriage to Gustav Seils. She received her formal education in the parochial school in Charter Oak and later the public school.

Ida was raised on a farm east of Charter Oak. She died Sunday evening, June 1986, at her home in Schleswig, at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 11 days. Seils was born on November 20, 1899, at Castana, Iowa, the daughter of Fraanz and Emma Lipsky Goerner. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Merilla, the family has suggested the Hillman Cemetery, Louise Breau Memorial Medical Trust Fund or the Nackawic Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Interment will be later at the Otis Cemetery. A reception will follow at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Januat 2 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Myrl Dunlop in 1998 a granddaughter, Beth Perry in 2014 and a brother-in-law, Guy Steeves. Merilla is survived by three daughters, Deborah Haines (Gerald), Pamela Billings (Stephen) and Denise Hoyt (Martin), all of Nackawic, NB seven grandchildren, Scott Haines (Kim), Jason Haines (Erin), Natasha Cronkhite (Andy), Shawn Billings (Jennifer), Sarah Derrah (Brett), Tyler Hoyt (Annette) and Chelsea Northrup (Derek) a grandson-in-law, Neil Perry thirteen great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Zachary, Leah, Avery, Abrianna, Seporah, Ethan, Rory, Nathan, Ezra, Eliza, Pierce and Finley a sister, Ardath Steeves, Riverview, NB several sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law in the Dunlop family several nieces and nephews. She graduated from Meductic Superior School in 1942 and Provincial Normal School in 1943. Merilla was born at Temple, York Co., NB in 1924, a daughter of the late Elmer and Bessie (Grant) Grant. Dunlop of Nackawic, NB passed away on Januat York Care Centre.
